Kempston Bell Ringers

Though there is documented evidence that bells have existed at All Saints' since 1500 (as discussed in the history of the bells), unfortunately there are few documents available to record the ringers who rung the bells. What little evidence that is available is in the form of Peal records and Peal boards. The first peal rung by the Kempston Ringers was on the 7 February 1923, while the first recorded peal on the bells was on 21 October 1893, a peal of minor (7 methods). There are also many photographs available - below are photographs of previous tower captains at All Saints and our current tower captain.
